Had good day from 14:00 yesterday to today managed 132nm. If we keep this up we will be in Fortaleza on Friday. The wind is trying hard to force us to gybe, but we are trying to scrape past the corner of Brazil. Wait to see who wins. We have had no current to speak of but once round the corner I am hoping to pick the Guinea current. I guess it is time we had a landfall again – a shower is definitely needed all round.
Haven’t been using the port motor, but it is running at present in neutral, which is fine except when the boat speed is sufficient to turn the prop. Then we hear a noise that doesn’t sound good and seems to getting worse.
Supper the last of the steak with smash and peas followed by fruit and custard.
