Cleaned out the port engine room to check for leaks. It appears to be leaking under the rear engine mounting, difficult to tell if it is the seal or the flange, however the leak is very small and quite containable. The book says that if a leak occurs the engine should be shut down, so we are not using for propulsion. To add to the concerns, the sail drive has developed a noise that could either be bearings or gears – bearings bad gears I can live with.

Sailing is getting more difficult as the wind is deserting us. We ended up motoring from 13:30 until 19:30. Shut down more for sleep rather than any wind.

Supper Tuna curry and rice followed by guavas and custard.

Wind light again so motor sailed from 08:30 until 13:00. Slow day. Got a good breeze at 15:40 (19 knots), lasted for twenty minutes, then back to 6 – 8 knots.

Joyce spent time in her hammock.

Supper Fried Bully beef slices with smash.

We have got to get more and current. Lets hope tomorrow will be better.
