After a good night things got kinda slow at 12:15 so motor sailed the rest of the way to Fortaleza. One ship passed in the night, then 30nm from Fortaleza we started picking up the fishing boats. Really very unseaworthy looking craft. How they survive?? Otherwise easy sail into the marina at Marina Park Hotel at 18:00. Dropped the anchor in the middle of the harbour and reversed into a n empty space. What bliss to head for the showers, a swim, a cerverja then dinner at the buffet.

Unfortunately a customs official arrived and we had to take the long trip to Policia Federale for immigration, customs and finally the port captain. Took the best part of the morning. On the way back we stopped off at the Itati Clube for a drink then on to a super market to stock up. After loading all the goodies on to the boat Rob and I took off walking up into the old town to look for bits and pieces we need. We did a lot of walking and battling with the language, but we got the most important bits.
I have sent the others off to the promenade while I catch up here.
